Urban Life: Housing in the Contemporary city is an initiative of the
Architectural League of New York organized to survey significant recent
accomplishments in the design of urban multifamily housing.
imageMachine designed an animated ("flash") website in collaboration with Adam
Mosseri. The website accompanies a physical traveling exhibition, and
complements it by "reflecting" on the exhibition materials. It includes a
discussion forum, an analysis of strategies and a prospects section. The
material is organized in an interface with an animated grid that expands and
contracts to reveal and hide different sections. The site also includes "mini"
animations presenting interesting data and statistics. (launched: 2003)
